Mission and Vision

The following strategic directives have guided the revision of the master plan for the Kashan Special Economic Zone:

  • Optimizing provincial and regional capacities through the development of strategic partnerships with Iran’s border provinces and the expansion of trade and economic cooperation with target countries, based on leveraging current and future transit corridors.
  • Harnessing industrial collaboration opportunities within the framework of the Country’s Spatial Planning Region 4, encompassing the provinces of Isfahan, Khuzestan, and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari, as well as neighboring planning zones.
  • Utilizing industrial cooperation networks and division of labor within Planning District 7 of Isfahan Province, which includes the counties of Kashan, Natanz, Aran & Bidgol, and adjacent areas.
  • Engaging with current and emerging interprovincial industrial networks, especially those involving the provinces of Tehran, Yazd, Kerman, and regions in the northwest and southwest of Iran.
  • Establishing and completing industrial and mining value chains, with a focus on high value-added products aligned with IMIDRO’s strategic policy priorities and export development objectives.
  • Reducing the export of raw minerals and increasing the value-added contribution of the industrial and mining sectors to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
  • Active and impactful integration into regional and global production networks, particularly in the value chains of copper, aluminum, and steel.
  • Branding and commercializing competitive products, while fostering new advantages within the framework of a creative economy.
  • Applying the cluster-based development model across industrial towns and mining zones to promote localized synergies and specialized ecosystems.
  • Expanding recycling industries aimed at the reuse of industrial and municipal waste within both existing and future value chains.
